Ambassadors
Martin Matte
To see so many people mobilize for the cause of people with head injuries, year after year, touches me deeply. Les beaux 4h is an important source of income for the Foundation. The funds raised allow us to finance adapted accommodation resources, which is at the heart of our mission. It is collectively thanks to the sustained efforts of each of you, dear participants and loyal partners, that this event is such a success. Know that you are making a real difference in the lives of these people. I therefore invite you to get moving from January 10 to February 10 and continue this great adventure with us.
Fabien Cloutier, author, storyteller, director and actor
Long before playing Martin's brother in Les beaux malaises, destiny took care of letting me know what head trauma is. I was, how can I put it, “forcefully sensitized” because I saw the life of a loved one turned upside down. It was also the life of an entire family that I saw going in a direction where there were many unknown elements. Martin, the star comedian, is now a friend above all. I know that his intentions are noble and it is therefore only natural to associate myself with this great cause.
Émilie Bierre, actress
It was without any hesitation that I accepted the invitation to become an ambassador. This is all the more impactful for me, because my little sister was in an accident in October 2019. Following a fall on her head, I saw her life change overnight: loss of emotions, ocular and vestibular after-effects. , stopping school, isolation, depression... She is lucky to be slowly getting back on track today and was able to return to school after 11 months off. Not everyone is so lucky and I was very aware of it. The Foundation provides significant support to several people who have suffered head trauma, and thus makes their lives easier. I find the cause noble and magnificent.

If there’s one thing I constantly tell my loved ones, it’s to never take anything for granted. I’ve been practicing alpine skiing and mountain biking since childhood. I know too many people who have experienced head traumas. So it’s a real pleasure to be surrounded by such talented individuals and to support the Martin-Matte Foundation. Once again this year, we’re active and giving generously. I’ll see you on the ski slopes!
Mélanie Boucher, victim of severe head trauma
I was honored to be given the chance to be an ambassador for the Beaux 4h.
I am participating in the Beaux 4h challenge for the Martin-Matte Foundation to help those who, like me, deserve a second chance. I suffered a serious car accident in June 2019 and had to work extremely hard to recover. After a five-week coma, I had to relearn how to speak and walk; in fact, I had to learn to live my life anew. In short, my loved ones call me "the miracle" for a reason!
Even today, I have to adapt daily to the new lifestyle that my brain injury requires. A brain injury changes a life (I’m telling you)!
The Beaux 4h is my favorite time of the year, and I work very hard because it’s important to me to raise awareness about brain injuries. Unfortunately, no one is immune to a brain injury—NO ONE—so we need to talk about it!
I’m counting on your generosity to help me raise funds for people in my situation, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥
Pierre Brassard, animator, actor et humorist
Being a great friend of Martin, I am very happy when I have the opportunity to give him a helping hand to talk about his Foundation and the great things it has accomplished since its beginnings. Not only did the Foundation set up a first adapted house for his brother, but it is continuing its work by opening new houses throughout Quebec for other victims of severe head trauma. I am therefore very proud to help him in my own way by participating in Les beaux 4h, part at home. Do the same and join us by participating in large numbers.
Nathalie Cavezzali, comedian
Skiing is a passion of mine. My son quickly understood this, as he put on his first skis at just 19 months old! Since I usually spend my weekends on the slopes of the Laurentians, and because the cause of the Martin-Matte Foundation is close to my heart, it felt only natural for me to accept the role of ambassador for this ski marathon. It will help raise money to support those living with head trauma.
Ariel Charest, comedian
I am very proud to be a new ambassador for Les beaux 4h! I've wanted to get actively involved in a cause for a while now, and I’m happy to do so through sports and physical activity. Not only is this a great reason for me to get back into skiing, but I’m also inspired by the idea of coming together for a specific goal—something concrete that will directly impact those living with head trauma or physical disabilities. The two components also offer greater flexibility for everyone, which is fantastic!
Gael Comtois, animator, influencer, designer, actor
A graduate of Collège Promédia in 2012, Gaël began working behind the camera while still aiming to be the rising star he was destined to become. He honed his talent in radio animation at M1035FM in Joliette, Énergie 98.9 Québec, and CKOI 96.9 Montréal. He has always showcased his love for Quebec’s cultural and artistic scene, connecting with people on all levels. His collaborations, such as the reality show Personnalité Musiqueplus NRJ 2011, the Black Carpet at the Gala Dynastie since 2017, and the Métro Métro and Fuego Fuego festivals in 2022, have all been huge successes.
You can also catch him alongside Garihanna Jean-Louis as the host of the web series Talents d’Icitte, which he created, as well as co-hosting the podcast Entre elle et lui. An ambassador, host, influencer, designer, actor, and even dancer, he’s always adding new skills to his repertoire to become one of the leading figures in Quebec’s cultural industry. One meeting with him, and you’ll be charmed too!

Thanks to his Foundation, Martin Matte has helped change the lives of many people living with a brain injury and their families. I have great respect for everything he has accomplished since 2007. It is with great pleasure that I have accepted to participate in the Beaux 4h event as an ambassador for QUB radio and Québecor for a second year. A true ski enthusiast, the event will take place at my favorite mountain: Sommet Saint-Sauveur! I am very proud that my region is hosting the Beaux 4h event! Looking forward to skiing with you on February 10th!

I had the opportunity to perform at the Maison Martin-Matte in Laval and saw how comfortable the residents were in that environment. It became clear to me how essential these homes are and how they meet a significant need. I also had the chance to perform with Martin and witness the audience's reaction to the announcement of a new Maison Martin-Matte opening in Trois-Rivières! The Maison Martin-Matte homes are truly necessary and make a positive difference.
Jean-Michel Leblond, Culinary chef, singer
Twenty years ago, a tragic car accident upended my life and the lives of those close to me, leaving my friend battling the devastating aftereffects of a traumatic brain injury. This painful experience fueled in me a deep desire to help victims of head injuries, to offer them the support they deserve. My commitment to the Martin Matte Foundation remains a constant reminder of the importance of empathy and support, because it is together that we can make a real difference.
Patrice Robitaille, comedian
When the Martin-Matte Foundation asked me to be an ambassador for Les beaux 4h, I immediately accepted. I met Christian, Martin’s brother, and his family on the set of *Les beaux malaises* and witnessed the impact Martin's accident has had on his life and the lives of those close to him. It really touched me, and I wanted to help Martin with his Foundation! In February, I will ski for Christian, but also to support everyone living with head trauma. Join me! Form a team or make a donation.

In a world ruled by bandits, where only profit counts, it is people like Martin Matte and his Foundation who are obliged to do the work of the state. State to which the worker pays, however, huge sums in taxes of all kinds. Shame* on the government and glory to the Martin-Matte Foundation!
* - It will be difficult, because, to be ashamed, you must first have morals.
