As Ontario's Francophone academic hospital, Montfort has a mandate to provide care and services in both official languages.

In an effort to recruit and retain healthcare professionals, Montfort is the first teaching hospital to offer a language skills immersion program.

Starting in the fall of 2024, this two-year program will enable 36 new employees to learn French through an intensive immersion program, as well as 36 current employees to improve their English as a second language.
