Hi, my name is Lasse.

I am 9 years old and I was born with a congenital heart defect and had open heart surgery in 2019 when I was 4 years old. Fast forward one year, I was so excited to participate in the 2020 6H En Coeur event in Montreal to raise funds for the En Coeur foundation. As the event had to be cancelled because of COVID, I decided to create my own challenge! I love cycling and asked my mom if we can cycle a very long distance to raise “one zero zero one” dollars – I did not know my numbers back then ;-) ! So, on June 20th, 2020, my mom and I rode our bikes from Saint-Agathe to Mont Tremblant on the P’tit Train Du Nord. A total of 35km!

My mom is part of the En Coeur Foundation’s Young Philanthropists Committee which allows her to give back, share her experience with other families and ensure that other little heart heroes like me can receive the same exceptional care that I received. I support her in any way I can and am very proud she helps to help kids like me.

So, this year, I am super excited to participate in the "real" 6H En Coeur, together with my mom, my little brother Mika and friends ... walking & running for 6 hours and, once again, raising $1,001.

Our team is ready to take on the challenge of the 10th edition of the 6 H En Cœur in support of the En Cœur Foundation!
