Safety measures - PowerDog
Your safety is our priority!
The PowerDog team takes your safety seriously. That's why we have implemented a rigorous safety plan to ensure the protection of athletes, visitors, and partners during the event.
First Aid Presence
A team of qualified Ambulance St-Jean first aid personnel is engaged to act as on-site first responders during the event. Each team member will be clearly identified, and their location on site will be indicated in the plan sent to athletes and partners.
Training and Medical Devices
Our team is taking additional measures to ensure the safety of participants:
- Employees who have received CPR training will be identified by a red wristband. In case of emergency, please contact them: they will direct you to the appropriate person, including the Ambulance St-Jean team. Mira is equipped with two defibrillators on site (in addition to the paramedics' defibrillator), which are located under each of the two competition tents, at the DJ's table.
- Mira also has first aid kits.
- If you have a medical history (heart disease or other), you can write to us to inform us. You will then be properly identified.
Access and Security on Site
Our team will ensure that entrances remain clear and accessible at all times, facilitating emergency response in the event of an emergency.
Fire or Evacuation Plan
Our team has designated key individuals to direct participants to secure areas in the event of an emergency and to contact the authorities.
In the event of an emergency, follow the instructions of Mira employees, who will be identifiable by their employee clothing bearing the Mira logo. They will direct you to the two emergency assembly points:
- Jodoin Park: Rue des Ormes, Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, QC J0H 1S0
- Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Municipal Hall: 3355 Bd Laurier, Sainte-Madeleine, QC J0H 1S0
Summary: What to do in case of an emergency?
For a minor incident: Contact the on-site medical team or the Mira team, identified by a red wristband.
For a major incident: Call 911, stay with the victim, and ask someone to notify the emergency team.
