Solidarity Kitchens - Next Generation

Since 2003, the Solidarity Kitchens - Next Generation project has mobilized teachers and culinary students across Quebec to take on the challenge of preparing meals to be distributed to food aid organizations.

Involving more than 1,000 culinary students each year, the event is designed to raise awareness of food insecurity among the next generation of culinary professionals, enabling them to become agents of change in their communities. Several private establishments also lend a hand to the students, helping to prepare the 125,000 portions of food!

Since its inception, this program has cooked and distributed over 1.6 million portions to Quebec food banks. Future chefs also get involved internationally!  Now in its 12th year, La Tablée des Chefs France's Solidarity Kitchens - Next Generation is being organized in over 80 hospitality schools across the country!
